If we were going to do anything about pacs and such, people would be screaming. After what we saw take place in Wisconsin, it's pretty depressing. Walker, however, was right in your face about taking advantage of the center stage. But what about our democratic governors? They're just as anti-middle class. The difference here was the fact that Illinois raised taxes on everyone, and where he made up for that was by screwing over the people in Illinois by shutting down drivers license stations, unemployment offices. and giving republicans control of stimulus money
They are shutting down the unemployment office in Pekin, Illinois, so the people of Tazewell County will have to go to an overcrowded Peoria county to sign up for unemployment. Taxes for the average citizen as well as large businesses is probably the highest in the country. The interesting thing is that rather than denying the public workers the right to negotiate, this governor simply closes down the offices where they work. It was a bear to find a picture of this office online. This is supposedly part of our infrastructure. And Illinois doesn't even own it. This community is really famous for tearing down historical stuctures. I'm wondering if The Courthouse isn't next. We could ask the other Governors of our great state. I think they all room together. You'd think we could get a discount on license plates.
